Nestled in the picturesque Rake Farm, Valley View Cafe is an idyllic spot that enchants visitors with its stunning views over the valley and delicious offerings. Customers rave about the heavenly cream teas, boasting massive scones paired with rich jam and thick clotted cream—definitely a treat for those with a hearty appetite. Mark Wilson captures the essence of indulgence, noting he and his guests were compelled to take home leftover scones to savor later.
The cafe's charm is enhanced by its inviting atmosphere, as noted by Gareth Rees, who praised the warm welcome for families and pets alike. The big breakfast received high marks for its quality, highlighting flavorful sausage and bacon, while the homemade beans offered an unexpected delight. Angela Jewell emphasized the friendly service, and visitors can also enjoy fresh produce and tasty treats at the adjacent butcher shop.
Fiona Taylor's experience, although brief, emphasized the cafe's cleanliness and exceptional outdoor area, complete with a wildflower meadow and children's play space. Whether for breakfast, a sumptuous cream tea, or just a serene spot to unwind, Valley View Cafe is a hidden gem that promises a memorable culinary escape.

Beautifully cooked food in a beautiful valley. Be warned though, the cream teas come with two scones and are not for the faint hearted! (We had to take one home each in a take-away box, which meant we could enjoy them a second time )

Our quest for the best cream tea took us to the Valley View. We were not disappointed they were delicious! Be warned it comes with 2 massive scones with tasty jam & thick clotted cream. Location was wonderful as we had a view looking over the valley. Definitely worth the trip there.

Lovely looking cafe, great views, delicious food and good service. We visited for breakfast with our daughter and dog. We were warmly welcomed and immediately loved the cakes, decor and feel of the place. There's plenty of food options and a decent children's menu. We picked the big breakfast and beans on toast for the little one. Here's where I would normally bemoan homemade smokey beans, but for the first time ever they were delicious!! Everything else on the breakfast was spot on. Lovely sausage, tasty bacon and simply amazing hash browns. Drinks wise tea and coffee were lovely, and apple juice was Heron Valley which frankly is the best you will ever have. I highly recommend this as a stop and you must have a look around the farm shop as well!!

Called in here as it was recommended to us. The cafe is an amazing little find. Seating both inside and out. Dog friendly inside and out. We only had tea and a scone. The scones were served warm and were big, most importantly tasty, not dry at all. Staff are super friendly and helpful. We visited the attached butcher shop and purchased some meat, and we will definitely be back whilst we are staying in the area, fresh veg and fruit, and lots of tasty treats. Edit We returned a couple of days later for lunch and again could not fault this place. 5 stars

Found this place by chance. I had just been to a pet cemetery and was in need of a cup of tea and a place to just sit. Sadly it was near closing time. So we didn't get to have any of the delicious looking food. However the lovely lady working that day kindly let us buy a slice of cake and a pot of tea. We sat outside on the large veranda. The views are outstanding. The cafe itself is lovely and clean. With decent toilets. There's am outside area with a benches and a play area for children. The most beautiful wildflower meadow. With a path cut into it so you can actually walk around. There's an option to pick the flowers with a QR code on a board so you can give a donation of your choice to the air ambulance. Altogether a gorgeous place.
